Coffee Mug Pattern

This pattern was originally created for my 12 days of Crochet Ornaments series but is now most in use as one of the bonus items I include when a character is purchased from the Chez Yarn Shop.

Crochet Mug Pattern

Tools:

At least 2 kind of yarn (One or more for mug and one to be mug filling color)

Scissors

Polyfil or Scrap yarn for filling

Needle

3.5 MM Crochet Hook

Any additional embellishments you want for mug.

Mug Base:

Row 1: Mc 6

Row 2: Inc

Row 3: 1 sc, inc

Row 4: 2 sc, inc

Row 5: 3 sc, inc

Row 6: sc on back loop

Rows 7-16: sc (Optionally on final row, feel free to change color or stitch to establish ‘rim’ of mug)

Mug Filling:

Row 1: Mc 6

Row 2: Inc

Row 3: 1 sc, inc

Row 4: 2 sc, inc

Handle: 

Chain 15

DC down chain

Fold in half width wise, and sc through the mirroring top and bottom of each stitch to create handle (see video for more detail)

Fill mug with polyfil and sew your handle onto the side of mug along with sewing on any embellishments. Fill with Polyfill and sew Mug Filling on top of the Polyfil. Weave in all ends and enjoy!
